Do my dogs need a tag with my name and address on before you take him/her?
Yes. All dogs must wear a tag with your name and address on.
How many dogs are in a session at any one time?
I believe dogs have more fun if they can play and interact with other dogs. Our groups are insured of up to a maximum 12 dogs per person, but we operate on a 6:1 ratio. Groups are carefully selected with breed, age, sex and personality in mind and can be discussed with the owner beforehand.
Do I need to be home when you pick up/drop off my dog?
No. Most clients are comfortable sharing a set of keys with us to enable us to collect and drop off your dog even if you are not home.
Will you take my dogs out in all weather conditions?
Yes. I will walk all dogs come rain or shine. However, if I deem the weather to bad and it appears dangerous I will not walk your dogs. I will contact you and arrange a refund, reschedule or I will just visit your dogs and keep them company and let them out. If the weather appears to be very hot then you do not have to worry, we have fresh water constantly available at the park. To avoid heatstroke in some dogs that are out for a full hour, I may cut the session down to 30mins after contacting you.
Do you let dogs off the lead?
Yes. Our area is fully secure and safe to do so, no matter their recall. Although they may have a long line lead on for the first few sessions if they're having too much fun and don't want to get back in the works vehicle to go home!
I only require occasional walks for my dogs, not every week or every day, can you help?
Yes. I am happy to provide services as and when you require assuming I have diary availability. I recommend that you give me as much notice as possible.
What if something happens to my dogs/pets on a walk/whilst in your care, such as it is injured or runs away?
I am fully insured with Petplan for liability. However, I cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury to a pet whilst it is in my care. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure their pet is adequately insured to cover any emergency treatment. I will do my utmost to care for your pet in an emergency medical situation while out. I always carry a first aid kit and can apply basic first aid techniques. Failing that, I will contact you and accompany the animal to the nearest vet available to me immediately. I reserve the right to take the animal to an alternative vet to your usual practice. Any costs incurred at the vets are to be paid by the pets owner.
What do you do with my key?
The Rugby Woof Pack can either retain your house keys on file or you can have them returned, simply arrange with me during the induction visit. I take your security seriously. Keys are held in a safe. Addresses and phone numbers are never attached to keys and are kept separately.
If you choose to leave your keys on file with me, I can be just a telephone call away in emergency situations, if you lose your keys, have them stolen or lock yourself out. If you are delayed getting home with heavy traffic or be unexpectedly called away on business, I can be there on short notice to see to your dog provided I have the availability.
Will my dog be supervised at all times?
Yes. Your dog will be under constant supervision by myself during its allocated time slot, and will NEVER be left unattended.
When are you available?
Monday to Friday 9am till 6pm, and on occasion Saturday to Sunday 9am till 5pm. However, out of hour bookings may be available. Feel free to call and enquire.
Are you insured?
Yes. I have full public liability insurance through Petplan.
How do I pay for your services?
I accept either cash, bank transfer or you can set up a standing order. You can leave the payment in a safe place for collection on the day of the first service.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes. If you cancel within 24 hours of your booking then you will be charged in full. Please try to give us as much notice as possible.
Do your services cater for all dog breeds?
We take each dog on its own merit and not on reputation of particular breeds. We meet all dogs before we take them in and each new dog is subject to a trial period. Any instances of aggressive behaviour will be investigated and we reserve the right to refuse to walk any dog.
If you have any other questions please feel free to email me.
